Strads in the Academia Gallery
As well as Michelangelo's 'David' which is the main attraction in the Academia Gallery, there is a fine collection of antique instruments, including a Stradivarius violin from 1715, an Amati cello from 1650, a Strad viola from 1690 and an original upright piano by Cristofori - the inventor of the modern pianoforte. I was very impressed with the collection.
