Apologies for interruption in bloggery for several weeks. Busy times in the life of a musician!
Lots of news. Been to Italy on hols - wandering around Florence, Siena, Pisa and greater Tuscany. Lovely place. Pics to follow.
Played in two concerts - Cork Chamber Orchestra in CSM on April 11th and CYO reunion last night. CYO reunion was a mega gig - imagine the March from the Dambusters played in a lively 'con belto' style by an orchestra of 120 fiercly enthusiastic headcases including 9 trombones (the legendry 'bones of Cork') and 11 French Horns! As Brian Murphy (leader of CSO has been quoted as saying 'There wasn't a dry seat in the house'!
Biggest news is that my house in Passage West is for sale. Massive tidy up ensues! Have a look at this link to see the sale notice with Lynch auctioneers. Its not a good time to be trying to sell property in Ireland at the moment ... but, fingers crossed for a quick deal!
