Timoleague Friary ...
... in West Cork was founded in 1240 by Franciscan Monks and added onto in subsequent centuries. It is a ruin now having been burnt down by the Brits ...It is hugely impressive. My mother's people, the O'Driscolls, came from the area. I found a grave to their memory in the Friary.
