Western Night in Charlie's cinema

To celebrate Jane and Charlie's return to known civilisation, they hosted a cinema night. We watched Rooster cogburn with John Wayne and Katherine Hepburn. Opinion was divided as to whether it was a comedy, romance or western!

Back from Adelaide

Finn helps with the luggage. Charlie said that the world's tectonic plates are moving faster than life in Adelaide! Seemingly its even more laid back than WA! (We've learnt that WA = wait awhile!)

Sunday golf

On Sunday we took part in our first competition in Mt Lawley golf club. It was a mixed foursomes that started with a champagne and chicken brunch at 11.30. The game, over 18 holes, commenced at 1.00. (Note George's given handicap on the card)! He had to own up to his actual handicap of 12 eventually! Our team score brought us into second place in the competition but we were disqualified because George's drive was used 7 times! Bad management!Nevertheless, we enjoyed the day. A mixed comp with NO RAIN! How good is that?!

... worth noting is the guy in the multi-pink outfit! He's a local member who makes an art form out of dressing for each event.

Golfing again in the sun

Our golf clubs have arrived! They got sent by air freight from Heathrow as we wqere waaaay overweight and Singapore arilines were having none of it! They dont seem to have an allowance for sports equipment. Anyway, the bags arrived today so we were able to go along for a game of golf in Mt Lawley. The sun shone all day and the temp reached a lovely 20 degrees. Roll on summer!

Honey-mooners at last alone!

After many months of entertaining everyone, Jane and Charlie at last have escaped for a while - but only on an excuse of a flute festival in Adelaide. They say they´re NOT on honey-moon!
