Flower in time

The bulb that Mags planted in the Spring flowered on Sunday morning, just as she and Hugh were leaving on the mammoth drive back to East Finchley.

Breakfast with the birds

The local winged creatures come knocking on the back door for breakfast. I've discovered that they love oatflakes!

Eric's wedding

Eric Shroder, from Majorca, was employed by Apple and Hochtheif to install all of the IT technology in the new CSM. He did a fantastic job, working closely with all of us on the staff to get it all up and running. Then, before Christmas he went to hospital with stomach pains which turned out to be colon cancer. He seemed to be making a good recovery until last week when his illness was declared to be terminal in a few short weeks. He was engaged to an English girl and they were planning to get married next April. Their friend got onto local radio last week and told Cork about the situation. Immediately, all of the Cork wedding industry jumped in and arranged for a most fantastic, fairytale wedding to happen yesterday. The ceremony took place in Holy Trinity Church and the CSM was turned into a magical setting by Frank (Brides by Frank). CSM staff were invited guests. It was incredible. SDome photos here.

Douglas village changes

The new developments in Douglas have changed the back village. There is now a huge multi storey shopping centre with a high rise parking lot. Tesco is the main shop holder on two huge floors.
